The ISESA Rating & Ranking Framework follows a systematic evaluation process designed to assess schools across defined parameters, validate institutional information, and provide meaningful insights for continuous improvement.
Schools submit their application through the official ISESA platform. The process is designed to be simple, accessible and structured, enabling eligible schools to initiate their evaluation journey.
Once the application is received, the submitted information is reviewed for completeness. Applicable processing fees and payment details are communicated to the school before the evaluation process formally begins.
The school is assessed across a comprehensive set of parameters covering key areas such as academic performance, infrastructure, teacher quality, student development, parent & community engagement, management and governance, along with other relevant indicators. These parameters form the foundation of the ISESA assessment framework.
The evaluation committee undertakes a structured assessment of the information and data submitted by the school. Each criterion is reviewed against defined assessment standards to ensure consistency, objectivity and a comprehensive evaluation.
A structured interaction is conducted with the Principal or designated school representative to gain additional institutional insights. Based on the discussion, the school is provided with a tailored questionnaire covering relevant areas of evaluation.
Schools submit supporting documents and relevant evidence for their reported achievements, initiatives and institutional practices. The evaluation team reviews the submitted documentation to validate and substantiate the assessment inputs.
Following the evaluation and evidence review, the assessment outcomes are consolidated against the defined criteria and weightages. An ISESA rating is then allocated based on the school's overall performance within the framework.
Schools receiving an ISESA rating may be considered for the annual ranking. Rankings are determined through comparative assessment of eligible schools, taking into consideration their performance across the defined evaluation parameters.
Following the assessment, schools receive structured feedback highlighting strengths, opportunities for improvement and key areas requiring attention. These insights can support schools in developing focused strategies for strengthening educational quality and institutional performance.
ISESA extends beyond a one-time assessment. Schools can use their evaluation insights as a foundation for continuous improvement, benchmarking and institutional development, supporting their ongoing journey towards higher standards of educational excellence.
